December
3rd December: R&D Manager Paula Johnson & Michaela Thomson (Research Practitioner) represented the Trust at the North West Coast Clinical Research Network Conference. They presented research done in collaboration with the women who were the first cohort within the Trust to undergo Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.
4th December: Celebrating Success night: Senior staff presented the awards to individuals and teams who have excelled in their work for service users. During the previous few months, staff had completed nomination forms to propose colleagues for awards in various categories. A judging panel - including a service user, governor and staff representatives - sifted through a record number of nominations. Chairman Rupert Nichols said:
"We need to ensure we maintain that link ‘From Board to Ward’. Tonight, in all of you, we can see that in practice. The names you will hear as we go through the nominations represent pretty much everything we do as a Trust and you are all winners.
Only one person can be the Trust’s employee of the year and we can have only one team of the year but to have been nominated by your peers and selected by the panel really means that every person here tonight should feel proud of themselves. On behalf of the Board, can I thank you for your work, for your professionalism and your dedication." A full list of winners and highly commended – including domestics, OTs, ward managers and Doctors was published on our website and in magazines.
