27th November: ‘Our Shared College’ – the new name for the learning resource for service users taking courses and vocational training on site and at local educational venues – was formally opened by the Mayor of Ribble Valley. The Mayor toured the site and met service users demonstrating craft sessions before he unveiled a plaque to commemorate the occasion.
29th November: Today saw a special Saturday meeting of the regular carers’ group. Mark Hindle thanked carers for their support and the discussion centred around engagement. A guest specialist commissioner explained how the system works and what her role entailed. A carer later tweeted: “Yesterday's carers’ meeting was very informative and informal.
Great opportunity to hear from staff about what really goes on.”
