2nd May: Father Frankie Mulgrew and Trust chaplain Marina Barrett held a full Mass on site this morning in support of our Catholic service users.
8th May: The Council of Governors met and heard how we are ensuring we're fit for the future and how we embed our vision. They also saw the findings of the latest NHS staff survey. Finance Director Nik Khashu thanked governors for the privilege of being welcomed to the Trust family and briefed them on our financial position.
12th May: On Nurses Day, Christine Hutchinson, our Consultant Nurse Approved Clinician, said it is time to reflect on individual achievements and celebrate being nurses. New starters were welcomed to the Trust by the CEO on the first day of their corporate induction, with one new nurse Tweeting “lots to take in but really excited and proud to be part of the Trust.”
15th May: The Avenue Group presented a highly successful LGBT awareness day, attended by the Deputy Mayor of Ribble Valley, governors, NEDs and many others. Service users and staff delivered their own stories and testimonies about sexuality and discrimination and a video about service user experiences is shown. The rainbow flag was raised over the Trust by service users.
17th May: Three ducklings have hatched!
22nd May: We published how service users and stakeholders rate us in the Equality Delivery System following the recent E&D awareness day.
29th May: Rochester the Rabbit attended the Trust Board meeting. There were important updates on safety, directors’ visits and governance but there was time for members to hear from Occupational Therapist Louise and service user Gareth about the value of Animal Assisted Therapy in
a therapeutic environment. It was also the first meeting with Megan Nurse, newly appointed as a NED and formally welcomed by the chairman. Mark reported that the Big Conversation has been “very positive, but it doesn’t end here” after speaking to more than 600 members of staff and subsequently blogged his thank you to all attendees.
