Governor Elections coming soon!
Are you interested in becoming a governor?
The concept of Foundation Trusts is for Governors to represent the views of members and the local community and for the Trust to be held accountable to the local community and its staff through the Council of Governors. The Trust will be holding elections in February and would like to encourage members to put themselves forward for election.
We will be looking to fill vacancies in the following constituencies:
• Public Governor - Greater Manchester • Carer Governor
• Staff Governor - Qualified
If you have a passion for healthcare and shaping the future of the Trust, then this is the role for you.
HOW DO I FIND OUT MORE ABOUT THE ROLE?
In February, the Trust will be sending information to members in the above constituencies, detailing the role of the Governor and will also provide dates for workshops where further information will be provided. Attending one of the workshops does not mean you have to stand for election but will allow you to make an informed choice.
Aspiring governors are also invited to attend our next Council of Governors Meeting. Please contact the Membership Office on 01254 821154 for further details.
ELECTIONS AND VOTING
It is important that as many members as possible vote in the elections to ensure the best candidate represents your constituency on the Council of Governors. For the first time, members will have the choice to vote online. Online voting makes it more convenient for members to cast their vote and only takes a minute. For members who would prefer the postal method of voting, do not fear, this is still available!
